After a long time, there is a piece of good news for Dogecoin holders. Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk has announced the famous electric car maker Tesla will accept Dogecoin for merchandise payments on a test basis.
Elon Musk said, “Tesla will make some merch buyable with Doge & see how it goes”, in his tweet on 14 December 2021.
After this announcement, the dog-based meme token Dogecoin has jumped more than 24%.
Currently, Tesla sells merchandise items such as Apparel, Belt Buckle, Mini models of its electric vehicles for kids. Now Tesla will accept Dogecoin as a payment method for merchandise payments.
Currently, the whole cryptocurrency market is in a huge dip and this will pump the price of DOGE into this dip.
Before this Elon Mush has announced that Tesla will stop accepting Bitcoin as a Payment method for car purchases in less than two months after accepting it.
This announcement is not new in the case of Dogecoin, Elon Musk always tweets in support of Dogecoin and he is also called the father of Dogecoin.
